Subscription offer
More shoppers subscribe.
More subscribers renew.
Your subscription offer decides both: what the buy box selects when the page loads, how deep the discount runs, what the first order gets and what every order after it gets.
We rebuild it from your own data and from what 203 subscription brands put in their buy boxes, then set it up in your subscription app and Klaviyo so the first renewal holds.

What is a subscription offer?
Your subscription offer is everything a shopper weighs in the buy box before subscribing: which option is selected when the page loads, the discount against the one-time price, what the first order gets, what every later order gets, how often it ships, and the promises beside the button.
It sets two numbers at once: how many shoppers choose the subscription, and how many are still subscribed after the first renewal charge. A deep first-order discount can lift the first and cost you the second.

What we build for your offer
Buy box teardown
Your default, discount, promises and price framing set against the 203 brands in our research, with the screenshots side by side.
The offer itself
What the first order gets and what every order gets: a discount you can afford at renewal, gifts that arrive with later orders, bundles and prepaid plans.
Plans and settings
Plan groups, delivery intervals, discounts and shipping rules in Loop, Recharge or Skio, set to match the offer.
The renewal
The billing reminder that shows what the next order brings, and the upgrade offered before the first renewal.
The save
A cancellation flow that answers the reason given, with a skip, a swap or a new interval before any discount.
Tests read on orders
One change at a time, judged on subscriptions started and renewals kept, not on clicks.
Our process: from buy box to first renewal
Read
We read your buy box, your plans and your subscription data: how many shoppers subscribe, what the first renewal costs you, where subscribers leave.
Design
We design the offer and the plan settings against the benchmarks, and show you what each change trades before anything goes live.
Build
We set it up in your subscription app and in Klaviyo: the buy box, the plans, the billing reminder, the upgrade and the cancellation flow.
Measure
We read subscriptions started and renewals kept, change one thing at a time and report on orders.
Why this matters for your business
More subscribers from the same traffic
The default and the offer decide how many of the shoppers you already pay for choose to subscribe.
A first renewal that holds
When the first order and the renewal are priced on purpose, the second charge is no surprise.
A discount you can afford
Sized on your margin at the renewal price, where most subscription revenue is charged.
Fewer cancellations you could have fixed
Intervals that match how fast the product runs out, and saves that answer the reason given.

Subscription offer questions
Should the subscription be pre-selected?
69% of the subscription brands we studied pre-select it. The default decides what a shopper who changes nothing buys. Pair it with a clear way to buy once, or the default reads as a trick.
How big should the subscribe-and-save discount be?
The median in our study is 15%, and the middle half of brands sit between 10% and 23%. Size it on your margin at the renewal price, because that is the price most of your subscription revenue will be charged at.
Should the first order get a bigger discount than the renewals?
It sells the first order and makes the second one a price rise. 13% of the brands we studied run an offer for the first order only. If you do, say what renews and when, and give the second order a reason of its own.
How do we get more people to subscribe from the start?
Make the subscription the default, strike through the one-time price beside it, and answer the fear of being locked in inside the buy box itself. In our study, 69% of brands pre-select the subscription, 53% strike through the one-time price and 60% say you can cancel anytime.
Should we give a free gift with the first order?
13% of the brands we studied offer a free gift in the buy box. A gift with the first order helps the sale; a gift that arrives with a later order gives subscribers a reason to stay for it.
Which subscription apps do you work with?
Loop, Recharge and Skio, with Klaviyo for the emails and texts around each renewal.
